Unfortunately, no decaffeination process can remove all caffeine from a coffee bean, coffee decaffeinated with the Swiss Water® Process follows the European standard of 99.9% caffeine free—which is certainly not enough residual caffeine to keep you up at night and much less than the US standard of 97%.

Not all decaf is the same. There are several different processes used to remove caffeine. There also are vast differences in the quality and type of beans used. When you purchase coffee from Coffee Beanery, not only are you getting the highest quality of specialty beans but we also use gentle, chemical-free decaffeination process to preserve the taste and quality of your coffee.

Most health benefits derived from coffee come from the antioxidant effect of the polyphenols contained within coffee, regardless of whether there is caffeine in it or not. In fact, some of the health benefits are even stronger when the caffeine has been removed.

We do! We have our specialty grade coffee send to the Swiss Water Process® facility to have the caffeine removed. Once the caffeine is removed the green, unroasted coffee beans are sent back to us in Flushing, MI where we roast, flavor and package the coffee beans for delivery to your door.
