How to Brew the Best Coffee at Home Using Coffee Beanery Beans

At Coffee Beanery, we believe coffee is more than just a drink—it's an experience. Whether you're sipping a bold dark roast to start your morning or indulging in a cozy cup of flavored coffee on a quiet afternoon, the perfect brew starts with the right beans and a little know-how.

Ready to upgrade your home brewing game? Here's how to brew your best cup using Coffee Beanery beans.

1. Start with the Best Beans

The foundation of a great cup is quality beans. At Coffee Beanery, our coffee is:

  • 100% Arabica, specialty-grade coffee

  • Small-batch roasted for optimal freshness

  • Available in both flavored and unflavored varieties

Whether you love a classic like our Beanery Blend or something indulgent like Sea Salt Caramel or Cinnamon Bun, freshness matters—so always store your beans in an airtight container away from light and moisture.

2. Choose Your Brew Method

Not all coffee brewing methods are created equal! Here are a few popular ones to try at home:

French Press (Rich & Bold)

  • Grind: Coarse

  • Ratio: 1:15 (e.g., 30g coffee to 450g water)

  • Steps: Add ground coffee, pour hot water (just off boil), steep 4 minutes, press, and enjoy.

Pour Over (Clean & Bright)

  • Grind: Medium-fine

  • Ratio: 1:16 (e.g., 25g coffee to 400g water)

  • Steps: Bloom your grounds with a small amount of hot water for 30 seconds, then slowly pour in a circular motion.

Drip Machine (Classic & Convenient)

  • Grind: Medium (auto drip)

  • Ratio: Follow your machine’s recommendation, but aim for about 1-2 tablespoons of ground coffee per 6 oz of water.

  • Tip: Use filtered water for the best flavor.

Cold Brew (Smooth & Refreshing)

  • Grind: Coarse

  • Ratio: 1:4 concentrate or 1:8 for ready-to-drink

  • Steps: Steep coffee in cold water for 12-24 hours in the fridge. Strain and enjoy over ice or dilute to taste.

3. Mind the Water

Coffee is 98% water, so quality counts! Use filtered or spring water if possible. The ideal water temperature for hot brewing is 195°F to 205°F—just off the boil.

4. Grind Fresh (If You Can!)

Pre-ground beans are convenient, but grinding fresh just before brewing can make a big difference. If you have a burr grinder, grind only what you need for the freshest flavor. Match the grind size to your brew method for the best results.

5. Experiment & Taste

Everyone’s perfect cup is different! Try adjusting:

  • The grind size

  • The water-to-coffee ratio

  • The brew time

Make notes of what you like best with each Coffee Beanery flavor.

Bonus Tip: Make it Yours

Love a little cream and sugar? Add it! There are no rules—just great coffee.
